Many new instructional design & eLearning freelancers wind up getting burned on contracts. By not getting on the same page with the client from the start, they risk doing unpaid work and souring the client relationship.

I've been there. That's why, in this video, I share some of the freelance contract "must-haves" that I've picked up over the years. Implementing language about these topics (and standing my ground when clients request work that's out of scope) has helped both my peace of mind and my business's profitability.

Hopefully you will avoid some of the mistakes that I made and manage your client relationships well from the start.

And remember, I'm not a lawyer! Consult a lawyer if you want legal help with your contracts.
