What is Devlin Peck Pro?

The instructional design field is evolving, but when you're learning on your own and piecing things together by watching free videos, it can feel like you're spinning your wheels. You're not sure if you're doing it right, and there's no one to turn to for feedback or momentum.

Devlin Peck Pro changes that.

This membership is a structured support system designed to help you grow — not just learn. You’ll build real projects, get in-depth feedback to learn and apply cutting-edge skills, and connect with a community that pushes you forward.

It’s hands-on, collaborative, and grounded in real outcomes — so you can stop guessing and start growing with clarity and support.

Whether it's a flagship eLearning project, your portfolio website, or your resume, you’ll know exactly what’s working, what needs a second look, and how to make it stronger.

"I’ve never gotten so much good feedback on my work — probably ever in my adult life. It’s always constructive, always actionable.”
Barry Longden
Aspiring Instructional Designer
"Devlin’s constructive feedback pushed my skills in design and development to a new level. The content helped me apply instructional design theories and best practices to my projects."
Min Tang
Learning Experience Architect at Fidelity
"I’d bring my prototype or slides to the feedback sessions and leave with 3–5 things to improve every time. The pros don’t just say what to fix — they show you how to fix it."
Tiffany Sinnet
Instructional Designer at Illinois State University

Real stories from real professionals

Our members span the industry — from freelancers to full-time IDs and small L&D teams. Here’s what they’re saying about the support they’ve received.

Susan Pope
Instructional Designer and Facilitator
"I realized I needed help learning the software and getting feedback to actually grow. The project reviews and workshops helped me cross that gap and made learning Storyline doable.”
Terry Parker Headshot
Terry Parker
Freelance Instructional Designer & eLearning Developer
"I am most grateful for the actionable plan laid out to develop a stellar flagship project.

Although I understood the concepts behind topics like action maps and storyboards, I did not know how to thread all of these tasks together to create a final project.”
Sally Castle
Digital Educator at Australian Digital Health Agency
"The feedback was phenomenal. I’m someone who second guesses myself, so having that level of detailed, specific guidance helped me feel like, okay — I’m not just guessing anymore. I’m designing with intention.”
Alyssa DeTillio
Instructional Designer at Carrier HVAC
"I didn’t think I could do this kind of work — coding, interactions, all of it. But the bootcamp gave me the support to take it one step at a time. I’ve never felt more confident in my skills."
Maggie Teper
Instructional Designer
at True Group, Inc.
"The flagship project course gave me the step-by-step clarity I needed. I was building for a real-life client, and it would’ve taken me much longer to feel confident without the support and structured process."
Sherry McQuire
Educator & Instructional Designer
"I joined for the structure, but I’m staying because it actually works.”
Sean Anderson Headshot
Sean Anderson
Senior Instructional Designer at PowerSchool
"Devlin’s flagship project and portfolio courses provided me with everything I needed to develop an impactful, impressive, and, most importantly, functional portfolio that turned heads and got me noticed. His lessons offered an effective structure that immersed me in the workflow of an instructional designer
Brandy Muse
Learning Experience Designer at Children's Hospital Colorado
"The courses helped me to craft a resume that leveraged the work and the skills that I already had
and packaged them in such a way that it presented me as the professional that I was so that people could understand my abilities on paper before they even got to my portfolio."
Jeremy Chestnut
Instructional Designer at Educology Solutions
"Before joining, I’d never touched tools like Storyline or Vyond. The courses were immensely helpful in bridging that gap. I went from having experience with medical training to being ready to step into an ID role and contribute from day one."
Katherine Porter
Instructional Designer at McDermott Will & Emery
"I don't know that I would be where I am today without the courses. My technical skills and critical thinking skills have grown, giving me the competitive advantage that I needed to help people kind of see the skills that I have and how applicable they are to what they're looking for."
Shelby Kandziora
Instructional Desiger at Kohls
"I became a member because I liked that it was self-paced and  that I would get professional guidance from the pros. There was a community of people that I could lean on. And most of all, I just liked that it felt more hands-on than any other option out there."
Liz Forstmann
Vice President - Instructional Design at M&T Bank
"From day one, I felt supported. The courses gave me structure, feedback, and weekly workshops that helped me actually build the skills I needed — not just watch videos."

Why Devlin Peck Pro works

Most instructional designers hit a plateau — especially when they’re learning in isolation.

Typical self-paced courses are too passive. Degree programs are too slow. And in-depth feedback? Almost impossible to find once you're on your own.

That’s why Devlin Peck Pro is different.

You’ll build real projects, get expert feedback, and develop foundational, in-demand ID skills, as well as advanced skills in AI, interactivity, and coding — all while staying connected to a supportive, ambitious community.

New content, templates, and tools are added monthly, so you can keep growing long after you join. This isn’t a just a series of courses. It’s a system for real growth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Course Pass, Plus, and Pro?

Downward facing arrow

Course Pass gives you full access to all of our on-demand courses and access to the private community lobby.

Devlin Peck Plus adds monthly live workshops (and replays) on top of Course Pass benefits.

Devlin Peck Pro adds hands-on project reviews and portfolio + resume feedback — your best option if you want maximum support.

Can I lock in the founding members pricing?

Downward facing arrow

Yes! Subscribe between July 14–18 to lock in exclusive launch pricing ($74, $149, or $299/month).

That rate remains yours for as long as you keep your membership—even if we raise prices in the future.

Do you offer annual plans?

Downward facing arrow

Absolutely. All tiers are available at a discounted rate where you get 12 months of access for the price of 10 months (e.g., $740/year for Course Pass).

Is there any software required to complete the courses?

Downward facing arrow

For your eLearning projects, the only required piece of software is Articulate Storyline 360. Most people who complete this process do so using Articulate's generous free trial, but you are also free to purchase the program (and there are educator discounts available). Most computers made within the past 5 years can accomplish this task.

Also note that if you have a Mac computer, you will need a program called Parallels to run Storyline on your Mac. There are many tutorials on how to set this up, including one on our YouTube channel.

For your portfolio website, you'll need a domain and website builder. This ranges in price from ~$10 to $200 per year.

Other optional software expenses (and free software that you'll use) include Vyond or Animaker for animated videos, MindMeister for action maps, Circle for community engagement, Zoom for live workshops, and Google Docs for storyboarding.

Many people also choose to use Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and / or Adobe Photoshop to edit visual assets for their projects, but these programs are not required and there are many free and low-cost alternatives.

Does my membership include any software or tools?

Downward facing arrow

No, your membership does not include access to any software licenses or subscriptions. That being said, most students complete these courses with access to free trials.

When does the program start? How long does it take to complete?

Downward facing arrow

Since this is a self-paced course, you can become a member anytime and get started right away. You’ll get full access to all the courses as soon as you join.

How long does it take to complete the courses?

Downward facing arrow

There’s no set timeline to complete the content—your pace depends entirely on your availability and experience level.

Some people move through the program gradually, while others make steady weekly progress or work in focused sprints. You can request feedback as often as you'd like and continue improving your projects through multiple iterations.

That said, most members who commit 5–10 hours per week report finishing a flagship project for their portfolio in about 6–9 months. These estimates will vary for everyone.

Your journey is entirely your own! And we’re here to support you at every step.

How long will I have access to the courses?

Downward facing arrow

Your access to the bundle does not expire. You will receive all future updates, and you'll always have access to the content and community.

How does project feedback work for Pro members?

Downward facing arrow

Submit project ideas, full builds, and your resume and portfolio for detailed expert review.

Receive feedback via personalized video and comments within 7 days.

To help you make the most of each round, we’ll wait for you to apply the feedback before reviewing the next submission. Once you’ve made revisions, you’re welcome to submit again. We’ll support you until your work showcases your strongest professional skills.

Are the workshops live? What if I miss them?

Downward facing arrow

Yes, workshops are live and interactive every week (available only with DP Plus & DP Pro). If you can’t make the workshops live, we’ll post a full replay within 24 hours so you won’t miss a thing.

Does DP Pro come with a certificate at the end?

Downward facing arrow

DP Pro doesn’t include a formal certificate at the end. But if you’d prefer to follow a certification pathway, you can head over to Peck Academy and apply for the ID Professional Certification Program.

That program includes a formal certification, more hands-on support, plus lifetime access to the courses and community. And we are happy to apply up to 6 months of payments toward the total cost.

What if I decide that DP Pro isn’t right for me after joining?

Downward facing arrow

If you cancel during your 7-day free trial, you won’t be billed. After the trial, you can cancel anytime; however, pricing won’t be refundable once charged.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Downward facing arrow

Yes! You can switch between Course Pass, Plus, and Pro at any time by sending us a quick email at support@devlinpeck.com.

Just keep in mind: your founder rate only applies to the tier you originally joined.

If you switch plans after July 18, your new plan will be billed at the current rate for that tier.

What if I need to pause or cancel my membership?

Downward facing arrow

We know life happens. If you’d like to keep your founder rate but need a break from a monthly payment, you can pause your membership for 30 days. After that time, your membership will resume automatically, and you'll have the option to pause again after 3 months.

Prefer to cancel instead? You can do that at any time!

Either way, just send us a quick email at support@devlinpeck.com, and we’ll get you taken care of.

Is this program designed to help me get a job?

Downward facing arrow

This program is not designed or intended to qualify its participants and graduates for employment. It is intended solely for the avocation, personal enrichment, and enjoyment of its participants.

If you'd like to complete our premiere certification program that will help you get hired fast, explore Peck Academy.

What should I do if I have additional questions?

Downward facing arrow

You can send any additional questions our way by emailing them to hello@devlinpeck.com.
